We Are Looking for Emerging and Established Freelance Dance Artists

Freelance Dance Artists

Afrocats is looking to engage with female, male, and non-binary dance artists who want to develop and build their portfolio of work.

 

You will work with refugee and asylum seeker women and families interested in cultural Dance styles from Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, and creative movement.

This role will be:
- Delivering a series or one-off dance sessions in many different settings.
- Support and training, if needed, from Afrocats lead dancer.
- Working closely with families, women and youth who are both new or have
experience in dance.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, patient and approachable, with lots of energy.
- A good communicator with people who speak little or no English.
- Available on weekends and unsociable hours.
- Willing to grow with Afrocats.

Key Details:
- We’d like someone to start as soon as possible with availability through to the end of December.
- You will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- The Fee is flexible and will be agreed upon depending on experience and
negotiation.
