Afrocats would like to thank everyone that has supported us in 2020 to enable us to build from strength to strength to support vulnerable communities.
As we look to the future, here are some of the things we will achieve in 2021:
We will deliver arts and craft online Zoom sessions, which will start from Saturday 30th January 2021 for families.
As part of this project, each family will receive a free creative pack.
Five families will also receive tablets or laptops to support them to access these sessions and complete their homework.
One family has already received a laptop.
Afrocats will continue with our three poetry and drama groups GM BAME Network from Monday 4th January 2021.
And here are a few words about memories from one of our participants;
Playing football in the dusts fields in African
I loved the competition, the dribbles when it all comes together.
The deadly pass, killer instinct
The predator
How it feels so good when you score.
Afrocats will also deliver our final food parcels funded by Forever Manchester.
We will apply for another grant to help us as it has helped many families and people below the poverty line with foods they love and means something positive for them in these difficult times.
We look forward to a busy 2021 supporting marginalised people across Manchester who also need your help in fighting food poverty, and bridging the digital divide.
