Volunteer roles

Building Stronger Communities volunteer

Building Strong Communities Together is a project that is funded by the Manchester Council and run by Afrocats. It’s a project that is exploring themes of belonging, community and shared similarities through creativity with communities and organisations based in North Manchester.

Who?

  • Anyone who is 18+ based in North Manchester

  • Interested in archiving and heritage

  • Looking to gain new skills and try something new

What?

  • Gain new skills at the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Centre and Education Trust https://www.racearchive.org.uk/  for free!

  • Contribute to community learning 

  • Gain confidence

  • Share an experience 

  • Put your new skills to practice at community events 

  • Be part of the June exhibition at Whitworth Art Gallery and the Homecoming Showcase in September at North Manchester

 

When?

  • Sign up by 5pm on Friday 12th of May

  • Training to start in May

  • Training expected during the day/afternoon

Youth of the World Saturday Volunteer

 

We are looking for volunteers to join our fantastic team and support our Saturday sessions. Volunteers will assist our Project Assistants and Artists to deliver with the workshops and support our children

Experience with working with children is essential, desirable experience of working with neurodiverse children. 

Full enhanced DBS will be provided along with travel expenses for each session.
