Afrocats were thrilled to receive for the ‘For Everyone’ Award at Forever Manchester’s 2025 birthday party on 7th February – an award sponsored by Auto Trader, and given in recognition of a group running activities that support equality, diversity and opportunity for everyone.
It’s truly an honour to see our work in Manchester being recognised on a citywide level, and we can’t wait to keep levelling the playing field for global majority and refugee/asylum seeker communities as we continue to break down barriers to access, and make life equitable for all who live here regardless of cultural background.

Tons of dedicated organisations and high-flying businesses filled the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel for the birthday bash, brimming with Mancunian pride as everyone was treated to a slap-up meal, fantastic local entertainment, and acclaimed poetry by patron Tony Walsh.
'...Let’s keep this city going ‘the Mancunian way!’
Forever Manchester is Greater Manchester’s Community Foundation, the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester – that’s over 1,000 grants supporting 70,000 Mancunians across 25 years.
And lots of well-deserved awards were given out to Manchester’s charitable organisations who make life better for people across the city, including those who connect communities, make their communities healthier, and help people live their best lives.
Thank you so much Forever Manchester - and let’s keep this city going ‘the Mancunian way.’
